Guild Roles and Members
Every member of a Virtual Guild has a Role. Roles exist to share the work of running a guild without giving everyone the same level of access.
Owner
The Owner has full control over the guild: settings, identity, and members' list. As an Owner, you can change anything. You're also the only one who can assign new Owners and Managers, remove anyone from the guild regardless of their role, and delete the guild entirely.
One rule is absolute: at least one Owner must always remain. If you're the last Owner, you can't leave or be removed until you've passed Ownership to someone else first.
The person who creates a guild becomes its first Owner automatically.
Manager
Managers help run the guild day-to-day. They can post notices, reply in guild chat, manage presence settings, approve or revoke GM status, and remove Members or other Managers when needed.
You can have as many Managers as you like.
Member
Members are part of your community. They get access to members-only notices, react to posts, but can't manage anything.
In a Public guild, anyone can join themselves.
Private Guilds will be announced soon.
Approved GM
Approved GM is a separate status — not a role. It marks which Game Masters in the guild can have their games listed on the guild's page. It doesn't affect what someone can do inside the guild otherwise.
The guild creator gets this status automatically. Owners and Managers can grant or revoke it from the Members panel at any time.
Guest
A Guest is anyone on Orb who isn't a member of the guild but logged in. Guests can view the guild's public page, read public notices and react. It's not a role you assign; it's just the default for people outside the Guild.
