Guild Roles and Members
Running a guild is real work, and roles let you share it without handing everyone the keys. Every member has one role, from the newest member up to the Owner. On top of it, a Game Master can have the Approved GM status.
Guest
A Guest is anyone signed in to OrbRPG who is not in the guild. Guests see the guild's public page and public posts, and can react to them.
On a public guild, a Guest who wants to come to an event joins the guild and the event and become a Member. See Guild Events.
Member
Members are your community. They have access to members-only feature, everything Guest can do, but don't manage anything.
In a Public guild, anyone can join on their own. In a Private (not introduced yet) guild, a manager adds them.
Approved GM
Approved GM is a status, not a role. It marks the Game Masters who can add (attach) their games to the guild, and changes nothing else. The guild creator has it from the start, and managers give it or take it away.
Manager
Managers run the guild day to day: its posts and events, its chat, its games and Game Masters, and who is in the guild. You can have as many Managers as you like.
When this manual says "managers", it means Managers and Owners alike.
Owner
An Owner is a Manager with the last word. On top of everything a Manager does, an Owner looks after the guild itself: its settings and identity, who becomes a Manager or another Owner, and whether the guild exists at all.
A guild always keeps at least one Owner.
