GM Reviews

Reviews build a GM's reputation on Orb. Each one adds to their public track record, giving players a real sense of what to expect at the table before they ever book a seat.

Writing a review

Orb players can leave a review for a GM. You can keep one active review per GM at a time, so updating it just replaces the old text. It is useful to keep review updated to reflect the GM's current style and approach. You can also edit your review at any time.

What happens after you submit

Your review lands in the GM's moderation queue first. It won't show on their profile until the GM decides to publish it.

If you edit a review that's already published, it goes back through moderation, the GM needs to approve it again before it's visible.

Either way, every review you write counts toward the GM's total review count, whether or not it's been published yet.

For GMs: moderating reviews

You'll receive a notification when a new review arrives. From your account's Reviews page you can:

  • Publish — makes the review visible on your public profile
  • Hide — moves it back out of public view (you can re-publish later)
  • Archive — permanently removes it from your queue; this cannot be undone

Your moderation queue shows pending reviews first, so new submissions are easy to find.

Upvoting reviews

Once a review is published, anyone can upvote it, helping the most useful reviews rise to the top of a GM's profile.
